Buma Music meets Tech Award

The Buma Music meets Tech Award is intended to kick-start new and innovative music-related initiatives. By giving this award, Buma wants to support innovation and make continuing development of new music-related concepts possible.

Initiatives that can be considered for the award are those in areas where music, technology and communications overlap. In addition, copyright aspects are taken into account and a carefully considered business model must underpin the concept. The initiatives with the greatest added value for users, fans or artists can be eligible for the Buma Music meets Tech Award. New concepts that meet these criteria can be registered until next Monday, December 16, 2013.

Buma would like to provide a platform for innovative concepts. Submissions therefore also have a chance of becoming part of the showcase programme at Eurosonic Noorderslag 2014, where they can be presented to an international audience of professionals. There is a cash award of €5,000 for the winner.

The jury
The jury will comprise of professionals with experience in the technology and music industries. They will be looking for concepts that transcend the established boundaries, using the information submitted to assess the entries in terms of innovativeness and added value.
