IMG_3071-320x283Today, Buma/Stemra (the Dutch music copyright collection Society) and International Copyright Enterprise Services AB (ICE) signed a 5 year copyright services delivery contract.

Based on its state of the art database and multi-territorial copyright processing solutions, ICE will manage all of Buma/Stemra’s copyright documentation for both domestic and international repertoire. With a pre-agreed service delivery contract for 5 years, Buma/Stemra will benefit from a more efficient copyright documentation system and will reduce the need for in-house investments in copyright documentation in the future. The migration of copyright data has already started and it is expected that Buma/Stemra copyright data will be in the ICE database and ready for services in the first calendar quarter of 2014.

Hein van der Ree, CEO of Buma/Stemra says “Our cooperation with ICE is a very important strategic step. Buma/Stemra constantly strives to improve the cost efficiency and effectiveness of her services, now and in the future. The cooperation with ICE is essential for the realisation of a central international database, to gradually replace a number of local databases, and enables us to realise our organisational goals: optimal service to our members and efficient documentation of music authors and music publishers’ rights.”

“Our mission is to enable efficiency in the music Industry, to have high customer satisfaction and to add value to Music Rights Holders. Signing up Buma/Stemra as a customer for ICE is a major milestone in pursuing our goals. Buma/Stemra has a history of being a strong front runner in terms of outsourcing back office services and seeking new ways of running its business and we are very proud and honored to sign this 5 year contract today” says Carsten Drachmann, CEO of ICE.
